Miss Hannah- Gym Director and AAU Team Coach

Hannah was CORE's first employee in August, 2018, and helped us open our doors! She was a gymnast as a child, then used her friendly smile and positive attitude to work in the service industry for a few years before finding her home here at CORE. Hannah started as a part-time gymnastics instructor and quickly grew into a leadership role, both in teaching classes and tackling the administrative side of the gym, and is now CORE's Gym Director. She is also the co-founder of our fantastic AAU team, which she and Taylor started in 2021, and has been an integral part of every one of CORE’s “firsts.” Hannah has helped the owner create CORE’s vision, CORE’s curriculum and CORE’s positive environment, and is at the center of our rapid and continued growth.

Miss Taylor, "TWT"- AAU Team Coach and Recreational Instructor

Taylor joined the CORE family in January, 2020, with a background in gymnastics both as a former gymnast from Lee County Gymnastics in Sanford, NC and as a gymnastics instructor. She graduated from Guilford College in May, 2021 with a degree in Health Science. Taylor has helped CORE grow over the years, teaching recreational and tumbling classes, and she is the co-founder of CORE’s amazing AAU competitive team. She works full-time with Fidelity, but continues to work with CORE because she loves having gymnastics as part of her everyday life, and finds fulfillment in contributing to the lives of other people.

Heather graduated from the University of Oregon with a Psychology degree before moving to Greensboro. She works with us full-time leading our preteam and lower compulsory levels and helping us grow our future USAG competitive program. Her favorite part of being a coach is watching kids gain confidence in themselves and their abilities. In her spare time, she likes to read and spend time with her cat, Cersei.

Miss Violet- Preschool and Recreational Gymnastics Instructor

Violet is a senior studying Music Education at the UNCG. Upon graduation, she hopes to become a public school music teacher and teach within the Greensboro area. Violet has a background in coaching recreational gymnastics as well as competitive gymnastics and all-star cheerleading and has even competed in all-star cheerleading for 7 years. Outside of teaching gymnastics, Violet serves as a current private music teacher and her other hobbies consist of reading, hiking, crocheting, and being an avid coffee enjoyer. Mr Haywood- Recreational Gymnastics and Tumbling Plus Instructor, and USAG Compulsory Assistant Coach

Haywood is from Hallsboro, NC. He attended ECU in Greenville NC  (Go Pirates). His humble beginnings in tumbling started in middle school where he discovered an interest in parkour. This led to his decision to cheer his last 3 years in high school and later the entirety of his stay at ECU. There Haywood was blessed win a National Championship with his teammates in 2021. During his college career, he began coaching tumbling for FAME Allstars Greenville, and became an instructor for UCA, where his appreciation for coaching cheer and tumbling flourished.

On his free time, Haywood enjoys stunting and watching movies... and getting a little extra sleep when he can. Haywood is happy to be back in a gym atmosphere because he truly loves connecting with athletes from all backgrounds by helping them understand their capabilities and reaching their goals.
