AAU Recreational Competitive Team

CORE is an AAU Member Club, and competes the AAU Xcel Program levels Bronze, Silver and Gold, with the plan to grow into Platinum next year. Gymnasts should expect to spend 1-2 years per AAU Xcel levels, and are required to have all of their next level requirements and/or the approval of their coaches in order to move up to the next level.

AAU Xcel Bronze- Our AAU Bronze team is made up of recreational class kids ages 6-13, who have shown the drive, determination and dedication to participate in a recreational team-track program, are receptive to feedback, and have the skills necessary to compete at this level successfully. All students in our recreational classes are looked at for the AAU team, and will be recommended for tryouts by their class instructors before being accepted onto the team. Athletes in this level typically compete from January-April, and will compete in 3 state-qualifier meets before their State Meet. Gymnasts must pass a strength/flexibility and skills evaluation, or have permission from the team coaches, before they move up to the AAU team, as well as move up to the next level.
